Recipe(tried): Raspberry Bread (Valentine Strawberry Bread variation)

Breads - Muffins, Quick Breads
I tried Joe's Valentine Bread (below) with a few variations:
- I used a pkg of frozen raspberries instead of the strawberries and SO liked it much better - seemed to be moister than the strawberries and more flavorful. Also added cinnamon, nutmeg and dash of cloves (love my spices)

Thanks Laurie Reedy

Original Recipe:

VALENTINE BREAD

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sweetened strawberries, thawed
2 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly greased a (9x5-inch) loaf pan

Puree berries with eggs and oil.

Sift dry ingredients together into bowl. Stir in strawberry mixture and nuts. Stir to combine. Pour into prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 70 minutes or until tester comes out clear. Let cool in pan.

Makes 1 loaf
