COCOA COLA CAKE
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter or margarine
3 tbsp. baking cocoa
1 c. cola
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. miniature marshmallows--ICING:--1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 to 3 tbsp. baking cocoa
6 tbsp. cola
3 1/4 c. confectioners sugar
1 c. nuts, coarsely chopped
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and soda. Set aside. In saucepan, bring
butter, cocoa and cola to a boil; stir into dry ingredients. Stir in buttermilk,
eggs, vanilla and marshmallows; mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch
baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until cake tests done. Forcing,
combine butter, cocoa, and cola in saucepan. Bring to boil; remove from heat.
Stir in confectioners sugar, mix well. Spread over hot cake. Sprinkle with nuts;
cool. Yield 8 to 10 servings. MOUNTAIN DEW CAKE
1 box Duncan Hines Orange Supreme mix
1 box instant coconut pie filling
1 (12 oz.) can Mountain Dew cola
1/2 c. Crisco oil
FILLING:
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix as given in large mixing bowl. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees use a 13 x 9
inch lightly greased and floured pan. Cook until thick and clear. Add 1 stick of
oleo and 1 cup coconut. Spread on cake while still warm.MOUNTAIN DEW CAKE

2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. all vegetable shortening
3 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
7 oz. 7-Up cola
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Beat together margarine, shortening and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, one at a
time, beating well after each; add 7-Up, vanilla and flour. Mix well. Pour into
well greased and floured Bundt or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Let set in pan for 5 minutes and remove from pan.PEPSI COLA CAKE
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 c. Pepsi Cola
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
FROSTING:
6 tbsp. butter
2/3 c. peanut butter
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. milk

Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan. Combine flour and sugar in large bowl. Melt
butter. Add cocoa and Pepsi. Pour over flour and sugar mixture and stir until
well blended. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in
marshmallows. Pour into pan and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cream butter,
sugar and peanut butter. Add milk and mix well. Add nuts. Spread over warm cake.
Place frosted cake under broiler about 4 inches from heat. Broil just a few
seconds or until topping starts to bubble. Do not scorch. Let cool at least 30
minutes before serving.SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN
1 c. ketchup
1 c. Coca-Cola
3 split chicken breasts
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. oil

Melt butter and oil in frying pan over medium heat. Brown the chicken breasts on
both sides. Add the ketchup and Coca-Cola. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 5
minutes. Adjust the lid to leave a small section open. Continue to simmer 35 to
40 minutes until done. Pierce chicken with fork to see if it is done. Juices from
chicken should be clear. CROCK POT ROAST
1 sirloin tip roast or boneless chuck
roast
1 can Coca Cola
1 med. cut up onions
15 oz. can sm. whole potatoes
15 oz. can fingerling carrots or
sliced carrots
4 oz. can chopped mushrooms

Wash meat and place in crock pot; add onion and Coke and salt and pepper to
taste. Cook on high for 6-8 hours. In last hour, add potatoes, carrots, and
mushrooms and let entire meal cook at least another hour. Meat should fall apart.
If you want to cook it on low, it will take around 12 hours. For leftovers, add
tomatoes, corn, celery, beans; whatever. Add a gravy mix and you have a good stew
or soup.POULTRY CROCK POT CHICKEN
4 lb. chicken, cut up
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 bay leaf
1 (10 oz.) Coca Cola
Salt & pepper to taste

Place in 3 1/2 quart crock pot in order. Stir once. Turn pot to low. Cook
overnight. Remove chicken from bones and remove bay leaf. Serve chicken over
rice.BBQ IN THE CROCK POT
6 lb. pork butt
1 (18 oz.) bottle Kraft BBQ Sauce
1 tbsp. onion flakes
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
2 drops hickory liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. Coca Cola
2-3 tsp. brown sugar

Cook the pork butt on low in the crock pot from noon until the next morning. I've
found it doesn't really take that long. Shred the meat and remove fat. Mix the
remaining ingredients and add it to the shredded pork. Return all of this to the
crock pot and cook 3 to 4 hours on low. Makes approximately 21 sandwiches served
on hamburger buns.CHERRY COKE JELLO
2 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jello
2 c. Cola
Whipped cream
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Gently pour in 2 cups cold Cola. Stir.
Pour into large bowl or ring mold and refrigerate until firm. Top with whipped
cream. For fun, stir marshmallows into whipped
cream. Makes 8 servings. BOURBON BALLS
1 (6 oz.) c. semi-sweet chocolate
pieces
1/2 c. bourbon
1 tbsp. cola beverage
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafer crumbs
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
Chocolate decorating candies

Melt chocolate in top of double boiler. Remove from heat. Blend in bourbon, cola
and corn syrup. Stir in crumbs, sugar and walnuts. Mix well (mixture will be
sticky). Cover and chill 2 hours until easy to handle. Form into small balls with
hands, about 1 teaspoon each. Roll in decorating candies. Place in single layer
on waxed paper in shallow pan. Cover loosely. Chill overnight.HUNGARIAN GOULASH
3 lbs. lean beef chuck
2 tbsp. margarine
2 c. chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. paprika
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
1/2 c. Coca Cola
1/4 c. dry red wine
4 ripe tomatoes
3 tbsp. flour
Hot cooked noodles

Cut beef into 1 inch cubes, discarding bone and fat. In a Dutch oven, melt
margarine and add meat, stirring to brown on all sides. Remove meat cubes as they
brown. Saute onions and garlic in the drippings until they are soft. Stir in
paprika, salt, and caraway seeds; cook 1 minute. Stir in meat, Coca Cola, wine,
and peeled and cut up tomatoes. Cover tightly; simmer about 1 1/4 hours or until
meat if fork tender. Blend flour with a little water to make a smooth paste; stir
into goulash. Stir and cook 3 to 5 minutes until gravy is thickened. Serve with
hot noodles. Makes 6 cups goulash or 8 servings.GERMAN SAUERBRATEN
4 lbs. boneless beef rump, sirloin
tip, or round bone chuck
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. Coca Cola
3/4 c. water
3 onions, peeled and sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
10 whole black peppers
10 whole cloves
3 bay leaves
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. oil or shortening
GRAVY:
3 c. drippings plus strained marinade
5 tbsp. flour
5 tbsp. ginger snap crumbs

Two to four days before serving, wipe meat with damp cloth, then place it in a
large plastic bag. In bowl, thoroughly combine remaining ingredients, except oil
and pour over meat. Fasten bag tightly and lay flat in a 13 x 9 inch pan.
Refrigerate, turning bag each day. (If you like a sour sauerbraten, let meat
marinate four days.) When ready to cook, remove meat (saving marinade) and dry
well. Rub surface lightly with flour. Heat oil or shortening in Dutch oven and
slowly brown meat well on all sides. Add 1 cup of the marinade liquid plus some
of the vegetables and bay leaves. Cover tightly an simmer on surface heat or in a
350 degree oven for 3 to 4 hours until meat is fork tender. If needed, add more
marinade during cooking to keep at least 1/2 inch liquid in the Dutch oven.
Remove meat and keep warm until ready to slice. Strain drippings into a large
measuring cup; add several ice cubes; let stand a few minutes for fat to
separate. Remove fat, then make gravy. Makes 8 servings. Combine above
ingredients in Dutch oven; stir and cook about 5 minutes over medium heat until
gravy is thickened. Taste for seasonings. Makes 3 cups gravy. Note: Plan ahead
because it takes days to procgiy marinate.PORK CHOP MARINADE
8 oz. Coca Cola
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. soy sauce

Marinate several hours, then grill pork 3 inches from fire.JANICE'S TASTY KIELBASA
1 lb. Kielbasa
1/2 c. Coca - Cola

Cut Kielbasa in pieces of 1 1/2 or 2 inches. Place in casserole dish. Add Coke;
cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with favorite potatoes. Enjoy!STEAK AND SHAKE CHILI
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
10 oz. can French onion soup
1 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. cumin powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
21 oz. can kidney beans
6 oz. can tomato paste
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 tsp. Hershey's cocoa
10 oz. Coca Cola

Brown ground beef in 2 tablespoons oil. Crumble beef. Dust with salt. Pack beef
firmly into pan. Cover and heat 20 minutes on low. Put onion soup through blender
for 1 minute; add to beef. Mash beef with fork until it looks like rice. Simmer 5
minutes on low. Add chili powder, cumin powder, and pepper to beef. Transfer to 2
1/2 quart saucepan and add kidney beans, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. Heat
thoroughly, about 20 minutes. Stir in cocoa and Coca Cola. NOTE: For Wendy's
Chili, leave out Coca-Cola and cocoa. ARROZ CON POLLO
2 c. rice (not instant)
2 c. cooked chicken, cut in 1 inch
strips
1 med. onion, chopped
1 green pepper
1 sliced tomato
1/2 sliced red onion
1/2 c. peas
1/2 c. carrots
1 sm. box raisins
1 c. Coca Cola or Pepsi
Garlic powder
Cumin
Salt and pepper
Oil
Butter

1. Boil chicken with chopped onions, 1/2 green pepper, 1 tablespoon garlic
powder, 1/2 tablespoon cumin, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper or poultry seasoning
(if desired). Boil slowly until chicken is cooked. Reserve broth for cooking
rice.
2. Fry red onion, 1/2 green pepper, tomato with 2 tablespoons oil or butter. When
braised, add raisins, peas, carrots, and chicken. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on low
heat.
3. Mix rice with 3 cups chicken broth and Coca Cola. Cook until rice is done.
4. Mix ingredients in Steps 2 and 3. Add 2 tablespoons oil, 1 tablespoon butter;
add pepper to taste. Cook 30 minutes on low heat.
Makes 4 servings. SOUTHERN STYLE BAKED HAM WITH COLA
1 (20 oz.) can sliced pineapple
1 fully cooked smoke ham, whole or
half
2-4 c. (depending on size of ham)
cola beverage
Canned or cooked fresh sweet potatoes
(optional amount depends on
servings desired)
Parsley sprigs (optional)

Arrange pineapple on ham; secure with wood picks. Place ham in shallow pan. Pour
cola over ham; bake 15 minutes per pound in preheated 350 degree oven, basting
with pan juices occasionally. Remove to warm platter and let stand 20 minutes
before carving. Serve with sweet potatoes and hot ham drippings. Garnish with
parsley. Makes approximately 30 servings with whole ham, 15 servings with half.
NOTE: If desired, heat sweet potatoes in pan juices along with ham last half
hour. MAMA'S BEST MEATLOAF
2 lb. stew beef (have it ground once)
1 sm. onion, chopped (optional)
1 egg, whipped
Oregano or fine herbs
Black pepper to taste
Lots of garlic salt
1 c. grated carrotsSAUCE:
1 tbsp. Worcestershire
2 c. catsup
2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 can coca cola

Mush all the ingredients with your hands until well mixed. Form into 2 loaves or
1 long loaf. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Take it out, stick it with a
fork 4-5 places on top and pour the "catchi-cola" sauce so it soaks into the
holes. Keep spooning it back over the top several times while it bakes for 30
more minutes. Good with baked sweet potatoes.SPICY MEATBALLS
2 med. onions
3/4 c. Coca Cola
3/4 c. catsup
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 lbs. lean hamburger
4 tbsp. oil
6 pita breads
1 onion sliced (optional)
1 green pepper sliced (optional)
1 head lettuce (optional)
Shredded cheese (optional)

Shred or blend, chop onions. Combine next 6 ingredients in saucepan and bring to
boil. Cover pan, reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes or until sauce is thick. While
sauce is cooking, prepare meatballs by making small balls and brown in oil in
large skillet over medium heat. During last 5 minutes of cooking time for sauce,
add meatballs. Cut top part from 6 pita breads. Place shredded lettuce in each
then meatballs with sauce. Garnish with onions, green peppers and cheese.DIET COCA-COLA SALAD
2 pkgs. lemon Jello
1 c. hot water
1 (16 oz.) diet coca-cola
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 sm. can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, cut up
1 c. miniature marshmallows

Mix Jello and water; let cool. Add other ingredients and mix well. Pour into mold
and chill. Serve as a dessert or on lettuce as a salad.

COKE PIE
1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 (12 oz.) cola

Mix together and cook until thick in saucepan. Cook until thick. Add: 1 tsp.
vanilla extract When the mixture is cool, put on a graham cracker crust. Top with
Cool Whip if desired.STRAWBERRY PIE
1 pt. strawberries (washed & stemmed)
1 lg. lemon lime cola
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar

Mix cola, sugar, cornstarch together and cook over medium heat until it comes to
a boil and becomes thick and clear. Add a few drops of red food coloring and cool
to room temperature. Add berries and pour into baked pie shell. Top with whipped
cream.PERUVIAN CHICKEN
4 medium boned, skinless chicken
breasts
5 cloves garlic, minced
Juice of 5 limes
1 can Coca Cola
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil to coat bottom of skillet

Heat olive oil and place chicken breasts in skillet. Brown on medium heat turning
as needed. As soon as chicken is brown add garlic and saute 1 minute. Pour Coca
Cola and lime juice over chicken and simmer uncovered on low heat, approximately
20 minutes. Serve over rice along with your favorite vegetable. 7-UP SALAD
1 lg. cream cheese
1 c. crushed pineapple (with juice)
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 lg. lemon Jello gelatin
1 c. boiling water
8 oz. 7-Up cola

Boil water, mix into Jello. Add cream cheese and beat. Add remaining ingredients.
Put in refrigerator. Don't forget the 7-Up! STRAWBERRY PINEAPPLE SALAD
2 pkgs. strawberry Jello
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 sm. bottle Cocoa Cola
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 lg. bottle maraschino cherries
1/2 c. mayonnaise

Drain pineapple and cherries; add enough water to make 2 cups, heat and dissolve
Jello in it. Crumble cheese in liquid while warm. Stir and add Coca Cola, nuts,
pineapple and cherries, then fold in mayonnaise. Pour into container and let
congeal. CRANBERRY - PINEAPPLE SALAD
6 oz. raspberry gelatin
1 1/4 c. boiling water
20 oz. can crushed pineapple with
juice
6 oz. coca cola
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 c. pecans, chopped (opt.)
OPTIONAL DRESSING:
1 sm. pkg. Dream Whip
8 oz. cream cheese, softened

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water and add coca cola. Add cranberry sauce,
pineapple and nuts. Pour into 9 x 13 inch glass dish and chill. If desired, beat
Dream Whip as directed until stiff. Add cream cheese and beat again until stiff.
Spread on salad 1 hour before serving. Keep refrigerated.
