Recipe: Cranberry Salad with Creamy Orange Dressing (using Jello and cranberry sauce)

AUTUMN CRANBERRY SALAD

FOR THE DRESSING:
1/2 cup prepared Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing, Original Flavor
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 tablespoons orange juice
1/2 cup heavy (whipping) cream, whipped
FOR THE SALAD:
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange segments
Water
2 packages (3 ounces each) orange flavored gelatin
1 (16 ounce) can whole-berry cranberry sauce

TO MAKE THE DRESSING:
Mix salad dressing with orange peel and juice; fold in whipped cream and chill.

TO MAKE THE SALAD:
Drain oranges, reserving syrup: add water to get 3 cups. Bring to boil. Add dry gelatin and stir until dissolved. Chill until partially set.

Fold cranberry sauce and orange segments into partially set gelatin. Pour into lightly oiled 6-cup ring mold. Chill until firm

TO SERVE:
Unmold. Serve with chilled dressing.
