Recipe: Room Mother tips

Misc.

Some suggestions for all parties would be to contact Oriental Trading co (www.oriental.com) or call them at 1-800-228-2269 for a catalog. They have all sorts and prices of favors and party goods. Another good source is Pack Of Fun magazine. It has inexpensive idieas for crafts and party favors. Right now I can't get beyond Halloween in thinking of parties but these are things I have made for it in the past.

GHOST Cookies
1 package Nutter Butter cookies
1 pound white candy coating
miniature chocolate chips

Dip the cookies in melted coating and make eyes of the chips

Take transparent plastic gloves. Place a piece of candy corn in each finger with pointed end at end of glove finger. fill with popped popcorn and tie shut at the wrist.

Make spiders by using grape Jello into jigglers. Using a donut cutter, make the bigger part the body and the smaller, the head. Cut lace licorice to make the legs and tiny ends of the licorice for eyes.

You can make RIP tombstones by rolling large marshmallows flat and reshaping by hand and piping RIP with frosting.

If you live in an area that has gum trees, you can also make spiders from the gum balls by using pipe cleaners for legs and swiggly eyes.
Along the same lines, use pinecones, the small round ones. Gather all the pinecones you can because you can use them also for turkeys and Christmas decorations.

of course you can always take round suckers and cover with tissue and with a marker make eyes, tying yarn around the "neck". Using this same idea, you can take any size of styroform balls and make decorations.

These are just a few of the things I have remembered. Hope some will be helpful
