Breads - Bread MachineSAVORY PULL-APART ROLLS
"Impress friends and family with this easy-to-shape bread lightly flavored with basil. You can make it ahead and refrigerate it overnight. To reheat, wrap the bread in foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 18 minutes or until warm."
FOR 1 (1 POUND) LOAF:
2/3 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon sweet basil or thyme leaves
1 1/2 teaspoons Fleischmann's Bread Machine Yeast
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Add the milk, egg, 1 tablespoon butter, salt, bread flour, Parmesan cheese, sugar, basil, and yeast to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer. Select dough/manual cycle.
When cycle is complete, remove dough from machine to a lightly floured surface. If necessary, knead in enough flour to make dough easy to handle. Divide dough into 20 equal pieces. Form each piece into a smooth ball. Dip each ball into the 2 tablespoons melted butter.
Arrange half of the balls in the bottom of a greased 6 1/2- to 8-cup ovenproof ring mold or fluted tube pan with non-removable bottom. Make a second layer, positioning the balls for the second layer between the balls in the first layer.
Drizzle any remaining melted butter over balls in mold or pan. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place until almost doubled in size, 20 to 25 minutes.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until done. Cool 1 minute on a wire rack. Invert onto a plate; remove mold or pan. Serve warm.
Makes 20 small rolls
