I usually am successsfully if after boiling the eggs, I drain them and shake the pot to crack the eggs. I then run cold water over them for 2 or 3 minutes until somewhat cooled. I fill the pot with cold water and peel them. Some recipes I have seen is to put them back in hot water after you have cracked and cooled them. Personally, I did not see that that method made any difference.
