Recipe(tried): Sherried Veal Steaks with Peaches for Two

Sherried Veal Steaks With Peaches

3 tablespoons butter (about)
2 or 3 veal steaks ( about 2/3 pound meat)
Salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram (about)
2 large fresh peaches, peeled and thickly sliced, or well-drained canned peaches
1/3 cup dry sherry
1 cup dairy sour cream

Melt butter in frying pan, add steaks and saute over medium heat until golden brown and tender. Remove from pan; season generously with salt, pepper and marjoram; keep warm. Add peaches to pan and lightly brown and heat through; remove from pan and keep warm. Add sherry to pan and cook until reduced by half. Turn heat to low. Add sour cream and slowly heat through, stirring. Return veal to pan and spoon sauce over; heat through. Top with peach slices. Makes 2 servings.
