Recipe(tried): some ideas

Misc.
Will the party be for lunch or dinner? My daughter tuns one on march 19 so I am in the same boat with you. I usually like to so a bunch of appetizer type
things for everyone to pick on. These mini quiches are great and EASY!!

Broccolli Cheese Mini Quiche
(these can be made ahead and frozen and they come out of the freezer perfect!)

3/4 pkg. Frozen broccoli...cooked, chopped.
4 tbsp butter.
3 eggs beaten.
1 cup flour.
1 cup milk.
1 tsp b.powder
2 cups xtra sharp shredded cheese.
1/4 cup minced onion.
dash garlic powder.
salt & pepper to taste. ( I just use a dash of each)

325 deg oven. mix all ingredients together and put into greased mini muffin
tins or whatever you wish to make it in. Bake until golden brown and set. In
mini tins I believe that is about 15-20 minutes but I usually don't time them
just keep my eye on them.

substitute anything you want for the broc. and the cheese
variations that I have done

spinach and chedder
bacon and chedder

You could make it sausage and cheese for meat loving people or use ham...

A great dip that always gets devoured at my parties is something we call:

Hot Appetizer Pie

1 package cream cheese (softened)
1 8 oz container sour cream
3 Tbls chopped green pepper
3 Tbls chopped onion
3 Tbls milk
one package dried beef (chopped) (usually found near the hot dogs at stores)

mix all together and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes and serve with cut up french or italian bread cubes.

You could also have chicken salad sandwiches on croissants-
make chicken and add mayo and grapes that have been cut in half. Serve on
croissants--you can buy either regular size or mini croissants ( I have seen
then at my wholesale club) This is a great sandwich.

I am also considering doing a big crock pot of meatballs for sandwiches. This
is my third baby and I don't want to be tied to the kitchen, I want to enjoy
this very special day with her.

Good Luck and Happy Birthday to that special one year old to be.
