Recipe(tried): Spicy Meatloaf

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
I got this off of another recipe bulletin board. I don't suppose using pork/veal/beef would change the taste significantly. If you like spicy food, this is to DIE for. I made it and then covered it with garlic mashed potatoes. Here's the exact recipe I copied:

SPICY MEAT LOAF
This beats the heck out of any meatloaf I
ever had in a messhall.

4 - tbs butter
1 1/2 - cup chopped onion
1/2 - cup chopped celery
1/2 - cup chopped green pepper
4 - cloves garlic, smashed
1 - tbs tabasco
1 - tbs worcestershire
1 - tbs salt
1/2 - tsp cayenne
1 1/2 - tsp black pepper
1/2 - tsp cumin
1/2 - tsp nutmeg
1/2 - cup catsup
1/2 - cup milk
1/2 - cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 - cup quaker oats
2 - eggs, beaten
2 - lbs ground beef

Melt butter; add onions, celery, green
pepper, garlic, worcestershire, and
tabasco. Begin to saute. Combine salt,
cayenne, pepper, cumin, and nutmeg.
slowly add to mixture, continue to saute
about 5 minutes.
Stir in milk and ketchup.
Remove from heat.
Mix together meat, eggs, bread crumbs, oats,
and vegetable mixture.

Put into two loaf pans, or form one large
loaf in center of cake pan, and bake in oven:
25 minutes at 350 degrees
35 minutes at 400 degrees

Remove from oven, pour off any grease, and
let stand five minutes before removing
from loaf pans and slicing.
