Hi Emily:-) I'm not really sure what kind of cabbage recipes you are looking for (for instance some people don't like Asian flavors, some are vegetarians) but I will post a couple of different ones for variety.
Spicy Savoy Slaw
5 Tbl. seasoned rice vinegar
1 Tbl. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 - 2 tsp. minced serrano chile including seeds
1 tsp. freshly grated ginger
1 1/2 tsp. Asian sesame oil
1 1/2 lb. Savoy cabbage, thinly sliced (6 cups)
1/4 lb. snow peas, trimmed and very thinly sliced
lenghtwise (1 cup)
1/4 red bell pepper, cut into thin matchsticks
Whisk together vinegar, sugar, and salt in a large bowl until sugar and salt are dissolved, the whisk in chile, ginger, and sesame oil. Add remaining ingredients and toss well. Let stand, uncovered, at room temperature, tossing occasionally, until wilted, about 30 minutes. Makes about 6 cups Gourmet 2002
