After you saut them for a golden color, change them into the slow cooker with all the other ingredients. Please, remember that in the slow cooker you need very small liquid. I often use 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup liquid only. The reason is that the vegetables provide the necessary liquid. Also, use seasonings sparingly. The slow cooker enhances the flavors and if you use normal amounts the flavor will be overpowering.
