TAMALE PIE
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped or pressed
2 cans (16 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can cream-style corn (size not given)
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
1 tablespoon chili powder (or more to taste)
1 (16 ounce) large can pitted ripe olives, drained and coarsely chopped or left whole
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
3 eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Cook meat, onion and garlic in skillet until meat is no longer pink. Do not brown.
Mix meat mixture with all remaining ingredients. Turn into a deep 9x12-inch pan or casserole dish.
Bake in preheated 375-degree F oven 1 1/2 hours.
Makes 12 servings

This recipe doesn't say if it's origanlly from Alber's but it's and all-in-one casserole. Hopefully someone will have the exact recipe. Let us know if you try this one!
