Recipe(tried): Tangy Mac and Cheese

Tangy Mac and Cheese

8 ounces elbow macaroni
8 ounces shredded sharp old Cheddar cheese
12 ounces small curd cottage cheese
8 ounces sour cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

2. In 9x13 baking dish, stir together macaroni, shredded Cheddar, cottage cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle topping over macaroni mixture.

3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until top is golden.
