Recipe: Three-Bean Casserole (using catsup, molasses, and brown sugar)

THREE-BEAN CASSEROLE

1/2 cup chopped onion (1 medium)
1 tablespoon oil
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1 (16 ounce) can lima beans, drained
1 (20 ounce) can vegetarian baked beans
1/2 cup catsup
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
1/2 teaspoon salt

In large saucepan saute onion in oil until lightly browned.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors.

TO COOK IN A MICROWAVE OVEN:
In 2.1/2-quart casserole cook onion, covered, in oil 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring once. Let stand 5 minutes.
