Recipe(tried): time savers
MenusWhen I was working and now when I have a busy day, I like to throw something in the crockpot. I get home tired and all I have to do is serve! Today, I threw in a roast with some peppers and onions and covered it with barbecue sauce, cook on low 8-10 hours, shred with a fork and have BBQ sandwiches- they were great. (first time I tried it!)Another favorite is to stack tortillas layered with browned ground beef, corn, salsa, and cheese, cook on low 5-6 hours.
I find when I come home hungry and tired, I don't want to cook and we end up eating out. So, it is better to buy some short-cut items (pre-cut meat,etc.). They may cost more, but it is less expensive than eating out.
