TUNA STRATA
5 cups French bread cubes
1 1/2 cans (6 ounces each) Chicken of the Sea Chunk light tuna, drained and flaked
1 (8-ounce) package muenster cheese, cubed*
2 tablespoons chopped fresh Parsley
4 eggs
3 cups milk
3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon grated onion
Layer one-third each of bread, tuna, cheese, and parsley in a buttered, 6-cup, straight-side baking dish. Repeat to make 2 more layers.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs with milk, butter, dry mustard, and onion until blended; pour mixture over bread-tuna layers. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight.
WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Uncover baking dish and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
*If you'd like a more robust cheese flavor, substitute
Cheddar for the muenster; for a sweet nutty taste, substitute
Swiss cheese.
Makes 6 servings
