Recipe(tried): Walnut Pear Gorgonzola Salad with Celery Seed Dressing

I'm staying with my folks for a couple days and Dad bought a huge amount of fresh pears at Costco. Earlier this month he bought a huge amount of walnuts at Costco & Mom brought a celery seed dressing recipe home from vacation. So this is what I made for our lunch today:
(Remember not to slice the pears until just before serving the salads)

WALNUT PEAR GORGONZOLA SALAD WITH CELERY SEED DRESSING

Three pretty plates
1/2 package baby romaine leaves
1 handful Sugarplum Grape tomatoes
small handful coarsely chopped walnuts
3-6 Tablespoons crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
1-2 ripe pears
Celery Seed Dressing(recipe follows)

Make Celery Seed Dressing and chill. Arrange romaine leaves on 3 plates. Arrange tomatoes over and sprinke with walnuts and cheese. Slice pears and arrange over salads. Drizzle with Celery Seed Dressing to taste.

CELERY SEED DRESSING
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons celery seed
1 Tablespoon grated onion
1 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup cider vinegar
Combine first 4 ingredients in a blender or mixing bowl. Add grated onion. Gradually add oil and vinegar, beating continuously. Chill. Before using shake well again to combine ingredients. Use on fruit salads.
