Recipe: Warm Peach Sauce (for pancakes or desserts)

WARM PEACH SAUCE

3/4 cup fresh or frozen sliced peaches, thawed
1/4 cup unsweetened orange juice
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Combine peaches, orange juice, and nutmeg in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until peaches are tender.

Remove from heat; mash peaches with a potato masher until almost smooth.

Add brown sugar and almond extract, stirring until sugar dissolves. Serve sauce warm over pancakes.

Makes 4 servings
