Recipe(tried): White Chocolate Party Mix (microwave)

I've made this several times and it is really good. It all comes together in about 10 minutes.

White Chocolate Party Mix
From Hometown Cooking Magazine 12/1999

4 cups tiny pretzels
2 1/2 cups round toasted oat cereal
2 1/2 cups bite size corn chex cereal
1 cup salted peanuts
1 cup M&M candies
2 cups white baking chocolate (12 ounces)
1 Tablespoon shortening

1. In large bowl, combine first five ingredients; set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl, micro-cook white baking bar and shortening on 100% power for 1 to 2 minutes or until baking bar is melted, stirring every minute until smooth. Pour over cereal mixture; mix well.

2. Spread onto a waxed paper lined 15 x 10 x 1" baking pan. Cool completely; break apart. Store in an airtight container.

Makes about 3 1/2 quarts
