ISO: 1969 Betty Crocker Cookbook-Classic Fruitcake
Misc.I am desperate for a recipe from the 1969 Betty Crocker (hardcover) cookbook for a recipe called Classic Fuitcake, I had put it into my computer and when I updated my software it got wiped out, I had given my old cookbook with this recipe in it to a friend who cannot seem to locate the cookbook. I am sure it was called Classic Fruitcake. The ingredients I can remember are dates, dark karo syrup, pecans, mixed fruit, and orange juice. It makes 2 loaf pan size fruit cakes, and it is wonderful. I have located the old cookbook on the internet, but feel it ridiculous to pay $80. for a cookbook that I only really want the one recipe from. Please help, if you have this cookbook please share. It is very easy to make, not real expensive because not all the individual fruits are required, and it is more nutty and less fruity, I hate gooey fruitcakes. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks so much. Sonia McFarland
