ISO: bgifford--found about 20 recipes

Misc.

Hi -- I just found about 20 recipes for tomato butter, and they really vary. Do you know what some of the ingredients are? I'd be happy to post a few, but not sure what kind she was looking for. Some are pretty simple, made with tomato paste, some have curry and orange in it, too, or apples. Some have tomatoes, sugar and lemons; some with sugar, lemon and cinnamon sticks; some with green apples; one with tomatoes, sugar, vinegar, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon, ground coffee and more; see one called "Mother's tomato butter" that has tomato sauce, brown sugar, white sugar, cloves, cinnamon, Sure Jell and allspice; one with celery seed.

Was it cooked? Used fresh tomatoes (red or green?) or sauce or paste? Let me know. I'd like to try a good one myself.
