ISO: Brinkman charcoal smoker instructions - Smoking time

I purchased a Brinkman charcoal smoker at a garage sale but no instructions were present. Can anyone give me an idea of how long the charcoal lasts and how long it takes to smoke ribs or chicken. Will I have to recharge the smoker with charcoal? Any help would be much appreciated.
