ISO: Buttery Brown Sugar flat Pecan cookie?
Misc.A wonderful little hamlet near us has a bakery that has a too die for cookie. I know the description but have been unable to find a recipe that tastes like this one. It is a flat spread out cookie like a lace cookie but there are no holes. It is very rich, buttery, brown sugary, and has pecans in it. The cookies don't rise at all and are either crispy around the edges and chewy in the very center or crispy all the way thru depending on how long they are cooked. I tried butterscotch cookies and found that they were all rising type cookies. A lady at church suggested that I try lace cookies on the net. Some of these state that they are really lacy with small holes. Since I have never made lace cookies before. I am not sure if they are all like this or if some of the recipes aren't holey but are still flat and crisp. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.
