SISSY'S OATMEAL COOKIES
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 cup prepared coffee (liquid, room temperature)
3 cups uncooked oats
1 cup raisins
Cream butter and sugars together; beat in egg; set aside.
Combine flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee.
Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen cookies
SOFT OATMEAL COOKIES
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup strong prepared coffee (liquid, room temperature)
2 cups uncooked oats
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 cup nuts
Cream margarine, sugar and spices together. Add eggs. Add sifted flour and baking soda. Mix in coffee.
Add oats, raisins and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12- 15 minutes.

I hope one of these recipes is the one you're looking for. Neither gave a credit but both are from a collection of recipes from community cookbooks with many recipes before the 70's. Let us know if you try them!
