ISO: canning berries

Misc.
I am looking for information on canning berries. I want to can salmonberries and blackberries among others. I would like to use little or no sugar or possibly a little honey or maple syrup. What is required to keep the berries from spoiling? Can I just cook them down and can them without adding sugar or pectin?
