ISO: canning grapefruit process

Misc.
while canning grapefruit (the glass-top stove was in use all day), boiling the fruit to be canned the glass-top on one burner had a "spider-shaped crack" from a full days usage... now the info question is....is there a burner , an electric stove with 2 burner coil tops that will work in the canning process ? if so....what model(s)? thank you
