ISO: chip dip recipe from the 50's

Misc.
Trying to find out what went in my mom's chip dip recipe she made in the 50's and 60's. It is not the Onion soup recipe. Probably made with cream cheese, but was very smooth and never broke the chips. It had a flavor I can taste, but cannot put my finger on. Any help? Thanks
