ISO: Chocolate truffle icing

The other day at a chocolate festival, a cake was displayed with chocolate icing covering the entire cake. When I asked what she used, the owner of the store said it was chocolate truffles. Do anyone have a recipe for this? I bake cakes and would love to use this as an icing.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
