ISO: cooked banana icing for cakes

I am searching for a recipe for a banana icing my grandmother use to make. I'm sure she cooked it and it was just wonderful. Just ripe bananas in some kind of syrup, no nuts, etc. If anyone has such a critter I sure would appreciate having it to make for the holidays.
