ISO: Cookie Request

Hi:
Does anyone know the name of the cookie that has chocolate on the top and bottom and layers of different color cakes inbetween. You see this type of cookie a lot in the bakery. There may be jam connecting each layer. I think it may be an Italian type cookie. Also, if anyone has a
recipe that they tried I would appreciate it.
