ISO: Dinner Party for teenagers they can cook

Misc.
Two friends and I run a teenage girls group at church and are having an posh dinner for them soon. We took the last lot out but this time need to keep the costs down to a minimum so we decided to have them cook most of it (just for themselves and us). Any suggestions for food that is easy, inexpensive and fantastic tasting (not an impossibility I hope!). All recipes greatly appreciated. Thanx.
