ISO: Fig and Honey Galette - Missing ingredient?
Misc.Recipe: Fresh Fig Recipes: Fig and Honey Galette (a free-form tart) I am going to make this recipe since 1-I just bought 2 lbs of fresh figs and 2-the dough is relatively low fat. Sounds like a winner. One problem: the directions say that you can sprinkle the dough with bread crumbs before arranging the figs, but the ingredients list does not mention the breadcrumbs. Other galettes use crushed amaretti or a mixture of nuts, flour and amaretti, perhaps to soak up cooking juices released by the fruit or perhaps to add more texture and flavor. If L.K. in Canada has this information, it would be helpful. Thanks!
