ISO: food ideas for family in need...

My friend is in the hospital for an undermined amount of time.
Her church group is sending meals for the family: older teens and early 20's
I would like to suppliment this with less formal meals and
snacks. Like individually made sandwiches and such.
Does anyone have any ideas for me?
Perhaps you've run into this situation before. With the family spending so much time at the hospital I'm afraid the
big meals might go to waste.
