ISO: George Washington sheet cake

Want a recipe for George Washington sheet cake.

When I was going to school in the 40's I would stop at the bakery and buy a square slice of this sheet cake.

I have been on my computer trying to get this recipe but have had no success. I get replies but no one has the recipe but they do remember the sheet cake.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
