ISO: I am looking for a spiced walnut recipe for a friend,

A girl friend of mine says she had these as a child. so about 45 yrs ago. They were sort of a candied walnut, She said they had spices in them and they were delicious. She has lost the recipe, Can anyone help us out. thanks so much for your time.
