Recipe(tried): Three Cheese Casserole (using ground beef, noodles, cottage cheese, and cream cheese)

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cans (8 oz each) tomato sauce
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 cups dried, uncooked noodles
1 (16 oz) container cottage cheese
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/3 cup minced green bell pepper
Grated Parmesan cheese
Brown ground beef and chopped onion; drain off grease. Add tomato sauce, 1 cup water, onion and garlic powders, sugar, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer while cooking noodles.
Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Mix together well the cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, chopped green onion and green pepper.
In a greased 3-quart casserole dish, put layer of half the noodles, top with half the cheese mixture, pour half the beef sauce over cheese. Repeat layers ending with the sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan. Refrigerate until 1 hour before baking.
Set oven to 350 degrees F and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes, or until heated through.
