ISO: Kind of ham

I have a question about your heavenly ham dish, I would like to know if it is okay to use a hormel cured ham that's already cooked, and how would that change the cooking time for the recipe. I would really appreciate you feed back, I'm not a very experinced cook and I'm just trying things out.
