SHIP AHOY THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING
(Ship Ahoy Restaurant, copycat recipe)

1 cup Mayonnaise (salad dressing if you prefer)
1/4 cup Heinz bottled chili sauce
2 Tablespoons Sweet pickle relish
2 Tablespoons Finely chopped red sweet pepper (or green if you prefer)
2 Tablespoons Finely chopped onion
1 Teaspoon Horseradish
1/4 Teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic powder (or to taste)
Milk (Optional if you want it thinner)

Mix ingredients and chill for a couple of hours.

You may want to mix everything and add salt and garlic powder last--to your taste.

It has been 35 years since I tasted Ship Ahoy's Dressing - but - this is pretty close (as memory serves). (Posted on facebook today and thought I would try it soon. Hope it is as good as it sounds. I loved it back in the day!
