ISO: My husband promised steak, so how about some side ideas?

The guys are shingling early, early in the morning and late afternoon and evening, when the shingles aren't soft from the heat of the sun. I was unaware, but every evening on the roof, the guys have been smelling steak BBQing somewhere in the neighborhood, so my husband promised them steak for our thank-you for shingling dinner. So....
how about some tried and true super wonderful side dish recipes?!
Thanks, Carolyn, for the Greek idea, guess it will have to wait. I have never had Spanakopita before, but do love the yogurt sauce you mentioned. In fact, in a few days my husband and I are headed for a short vacation on the beach where we have at least a breakfast or two at Kojaks, for scrambled eggs, bacon, sliced tomato, yogurt/cucumber sauce and fresh pita bread. Yum!
