ISO: Need some ideas for family cookbook and tried and true fruitcake recipe

Misc.
Hello everyone,
I am planning my yearly baking and gift giving and am in need of a little help. Every year I usually put together a little cookbook for all of my close friends, relatives, and co workers. Last year I asked people to submit recipes. This year I would like to have recipes that are tried and true. Something that everyone makes but when you need to find the recipe you can't remember where you but it. I have a few in mind like Green Bean Casserole and Nestles Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies, but need more. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also last year I made containers of cookies and also a loaf of bannana bread as gifts. I would like to do Fruit Cake this year but have never tried it. So I am looking for a tried and true Fruit Cake recipe that I can bake into loaves (mini and the next size up).
Thanks so much to any one who can help. I know its a little far in advance but you can never start to early.
