Recipe: Duncan Hines Cheesecake Bars (using cake mix)

DUNCAN HINES CHEESECAKE BARS

FOR THE CRUST:
1 Duncan Hines Butter Recipe cake mix
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine, melted
1 cup chopped pecans, divided use
FOR THE TOPPING:
2 pkg (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
3/4 light brown sugar, packed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

TO MAKE THE CRUST:
Add margarine and 1/2 cup pecans to dry cake mix in mixing bowl. Mix together, then press into prepared pan. Set aside.

TO MAKE THE TOPPING:
In bowl with mixer on medium speed, blend together cream cheese and brown sugar. Spread over crust. Top with remaining 1/2 cup pecans.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 minutes or until done. Do not overbake. Cool, and cut into bars.
