ISO: Request Rocks (cookie) Recipe

My grandmother cannot bake anymore, and I'd like to make her favorite cookies for her for Christmas. I always knew them as "rocks". They contain dates and nuts, are round "ball" cookies, and are rolled in powdered sugar. She said the recipe made about 90 cookies. I've searched high and low and have found many recipes for "rock cookies", but none that match hers. I think they may be called "Klondike Rocks", but I'm not positive. I'd appreciate any assistance you can give.
