ISO: wanting to make home made sourkraut

My daughter and I are wanting to can home made sourkraut right in the jar. We found one recipe that only calls for salt and water and shredded cabbage. We think it should have vinegar in it. Does anyone have a better receipe that you make the sour kraut right in the jar?
