Thank You: Green Beans and Salt Pork

Thanks for your recipe, Jackie, and your comments, Debby! I had to go by guess on doing these, because when I last checked here there were no answers - I did everything pretty much according to your recipe Jackie, just by guessing from having had them so often since moving south.

And I knew from that experience, that the green beans take on the color of grey swamp water and DEFINTELY HAVE to cook at least an hour and a half! (Now, I hear you Debby, and I'll plan for a half day next time!!)

However, next time, I will also use a ham hock, since I didn't feel that the salt pork gave off enough flavor - but, the texture and color was right!

My southern son-in-law seemed to enjoy them.
