Kristy: Hopefully you can "reconstruct" some of your family's recipe heritage through sources like this one. It's amazing how many things you think your Grandma was the only one who made, just to find that a lot of other grandmas did, too. (Although nothing ever tastes just like Grandma's, does it?) Good luck with these, Kristy and Grace!
