Toppings - Salsas
ON THE BORDER SALSA
(copycat recipe)

1 medium onion diced, any kind
1 lime, juiced
2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
2 tbsp sugar (or little more)
2 tbsp ground cayenne pepper, or to taste (I use a bright red chili powder from Indian store)
2 tbsp ground cumin
2 cloves garlic, peeled
2 Serrano peppers
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes

Dump all ingredients into food processor except tomatoes. Process once or twice.

Add tomatoes and 3/4 tomato can of water. Process once more.

Let it sit for an hour for flavors to mingle.
