I was able to find a small piece today, 3 12" x 3/4". My friends are headed to a town this afternoon and will look for more. The suggestion you had about cutting it thicker makes sense, thanks. Guess I better go dust something, Saturday is gettting closer and closer...I'm going to add some butternut squash, diced up, to the minestrone, I've had it somewhere before with it in it and it was great.
