I also write in my cookbooks and on recipes, noting the date, how a dish went over and any changes I made or would reccomend next time. I'm now compiling a cookbook of all of the recipes DH and I have enjoyed from childhood up to now. (Making it easier to put my hands on one when I need it without looking and looking..."now just WHERE was that stuffed mushroom recipe...???". It's been fun to read the dates on them and who I served them to along with their reactions. Brings back wonderful memories of family and friends around our table... Happy Turkey Day! (and you are right, some dishes just HAVE to be made for Thanksgiving, my brother gets positively apoplectic if you even HINT you might not be serving Sweet Potato Crunch during the holidays! Yours with the sauce tho....oh my, wait until I tell my brother!)
