Thank You: One Bowl Chocolate Buttermilk Cake - Lost Recipe

I think this is a recipe that I have been searching for about 15 yrs. My friend got the original from magazine with Tom Selleck's picture on the cover during the early 1080's. I lost it during a move and she can't find her copy. Thanks so much. I am a chocoholic and this is the best chocolate cake ever.
