Thank You: Re: What Are You Serving For Thanksgiving?

Misc.

There will be 12 at our dinner including my family (5 of us). I try to make the meal kid-friendly -- the children won't eat anything too "strange." It's kind of an all-day affair so I will set out popcorn for the kids (just like the first Thanksgiving) and cheese and crackers for the adults, probably Brie and Havarti. Then:

big turkey (of course), unstuffed
applesauce-squash casserole (light & delicious)
savory roasted sweet potatoes (can't abide 'em sticky sweet)
corn (plain old frozen)
honey-wheat rolls (thanks to local specialty bakery)
apple-sausage-walnut stuffing
mashed red potatoes - skins on, always
gravy
dessert: two pumpkin pies made totally from scratch, with whipped cream
